Serendipity to WordPress 2.8.1 Blog

Finally, I make a migration from Serendipity 1.4.1 to WordPress (lastest release 2.8.1). Serendipity is my favor blog engine over 5+ years until now. It take long run without any problem,with my post over 1600 posts in both personal and public blog. Thanks to Garvin Hicking, the lead developer of Serendipity webblog engine, who contribute their wonderful code to the world.
Now, when I want to try something new, WordPress become my choice. With 1600 posts, I must find import script which can transfer my posts from Serendipity to Word Press. This task cannot be done if missing an import script from Aaron Brazell which lastest modified by Michael Tyson. I get modified their script to support serendipity-tags plugin. It’s working properly. Note that if you doesn’t use serendipity-tags plugin, you should use Michael Tyson’s import script.
Tested With: Serendipity 1.4.1 + tags plugin, WordPress 2.8.1 (Created on 11 July 2009)
Know Issues: – Serendipity Categories name must not contains ” ‘ ” and “&“.
